Firestarters/Youth Program

 

Doo Wop Bop

Who can resist music by Elvis, The Supreme's, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many more!? On May 19th at 6:00pm you can step back in time and celebrate some of our nation’s best music. Brought to you straight from the 50's and 60's. You don't want to miss this evening of fun and fellowship with the Firestarters youth group. Dinner will be served at 6pm with the show starting at 7pm.

Adult Show with meal tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Children under 12 years of age Show with meal tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door.

Show ONLY tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for children under 12 years of age.

       HELP WANTED


It’s the time to begin our search for volunteers to assist in Vacation Bible School. You don’t want to miss this opportunity. SonRise National  Park will be an exciting adventure for all. VBS is set for July 23rd through July 27th from 6:15-8:45 pm. If you are willing to volunteer, there is a sign-up sheet on the back table in the sanctuary.

 

       SUMMER CAMP


Higher Ground Child Development Center is offering Summer Camp for children Kindergarten through 5th grade. The center is accepting rising Kindergartners’ for the summer program.  We have developed a fun filled summer program for your child, which includes weekly  field trips, crafts, games, Bible study and many other exciting activities. We offer a safe, fun and Christ centered environment. If you are interested in this program for your child or a friend, please contact Cathy Jacks at 803-802-3189 ext. 28.

Congratulations to our graduates. Wil Sutton is graduating from High School and Dylan Withers is graduating from University of South Carolina this month.

 

Living Proof Food Pantry


The following is a list of items that we are collecting each month, to be distributed as needed through this ministry. We are asking our fellow church members to help us by placing these items in the basket in the back of the church.

BREAKFAST FOOD: cereal, pop tarts, pancake mix, syrup, crackers
CANNED ITEMS: veggies, meats, tuna, soups, peanut butter, jelly
BOXED ITEMS: spaghetti, rice, dry beans, rice-a-roni, top ramen
CONDIMENTS: cooking oil. salt, pepper, sugar, flour, mayo, ketchup, mustard
PAPER PRODUCTS: toilet tissue, napkins, paper towels
BABY NEEDS: Diapers, wipes, lotions, shampoos
PERSONAL ITEMS: deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, tooth brushes,  combs


We are always looking for volunteers for every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at one of our mission houses.

 

 

God's Weigh Exercise Class    


Join us for a wonderful time of devotion, exercise and support for each other!   Class schedule below…..

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 pm to 7:30pm
  • Sundays at 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm 

 

 

BABY SHOWER


The ladies ministry will be hosting a baby shower for Jerri Jordan on Sunday, May 20th from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Jerry is registered at Babies R Us and Target. It’s a girl!
